O Programa de Pós-Graduação em Matemática e Estatística convida a comunidade acadêmica a participar da palestra intitulada: “Dynamics of beam equations with Balakrishnan-Taylor damping”. A qual será ministrada no próximo dia 10/04/2024 (Quarta-Feira), às 10 horas, na Sala de aula do mestrado, com o Prof Dr. Eduardo Henrique Gomes Tavares, da Universidade Federal do Pará.

Abstract: We present a beam model proposed by Balakrishnan and Taylor [1]. This model describes the vibrations of some _exible structures used in spacecrafts and presents a natural dissipation whose coe_cient is the energy functional itself. In this talk, we will discuss the recente mathematical advances regarding the dynamics of this energy damping model.
